On december 1st soundinitiative will play a concert as part of the festival "Sons d'automne" at the conservatoire in Annecy. The program includes a world premier by Jean-Pascal Chaigne next to works by Beat Furrer, Oscar Bianchi, Hector Parra and Gyorgy Ligeti. More info here!

From 8 to 15 octobre I'll be in residence at deSingel in Antwerp with the Nadar Ensemble to prepare for our concert at the prestigious Donaueschinger Tage für Neue Musik. The concert will be on the 20th with a very exciting program of 4 world premiers by Stefan Prins, Johannes Kreidler, Yoav Pasovsky and Klaus Schedl.

On the 24th soundinitiative will play its first concert of the season at the Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre at the Cité Universitaire, Paris. The program includes music by Gerard Pesson, Georges Aperghis, Jerôme Combier, Samuel Andreyev and Christphe Bertrand. For more details check the soundinitiative website!
After a performance in Maastricht on October 4th, Zwerm will perform Popcorn one more time on the 25th in Utrecht as part of the Gaudeamus Muziekweek! Following this concert, Zwerm will play two more concerts on the 26th in Netwerk , Aalst and on the 27th in 4AD, Diksmuide, this time with the Fred Frith Quartet Sessions program.
On september 23 and 24 I'll perform at the 8th International Festival Chihuahua, in Chihuahua City, Mexico!!
I'll play two sets with Zwerm electric guitar quartet (Fred Frith Quartet Session on 23/9 and 24/9) and one solo concert on the 24th!

17/07/2012 PARK, with Shila Anaraki, Stefan Prins and Zwerm
Think of a body in stand-by, a short-circuited thought, a human brain processing at a frequency of 5 GHz… In PARK, six computers form a communication network that provides six performers with real-time instructions. PARK confronts the human body with a digital logic. It plays with the border of the human's presence and absence in technology and embodies a puzzle in which they outline each other. With playful precision PARK investigates strategies of embracing, resisting, adapting, disrupting or short-circuiting these technical surroundings. Who infiltrates what, and what infiltrates whom? PARK inhabits a peculiar network, which sputters in a much outmoded way. PARK is a first collaboration between Shila Anaraki and Stefan Prins. Together they depart from Infiltrationen, a composition of Stefan Prins for 4 electric guitars and a live-electronics performer. Central to this composition is the notion of technology infiltrating the conditio humana on several levels. Shila Anaraki is a performer and choreographer. An important part of her work is dedicated to collaborations within the contemporary music field. In these liaisons, Shila Anaraki looks for hybrid concepts from which the work can arise.
